Town Constables are authorized under Article 3, Section 6 of the Town of Natick Home Rule Charter. They serve a variety of functions including:
- Serving civil writs and processes as are authorized by law
- Taking due notice of and prosecute all violations of law respecting profane swearing and gaming
- Serving all warrants and other processes directed to them by the selectmen of the town for notifying town meetings, or for other purposes
