Community Relations/Grant Coordinator
 
The Morse Institute Library is hiring a Community Relations/Grant Coordinator.  The individual, under the general  direction of the library director and Board of Trustees will:
  • develop and coordinate marketing and public relations efforts for library programs
  • develop and disseminate written materials such as newsletters, press releases, brochures and other informational  literature
  • develop a plan for identifying, securing, and utilizing alternative funding sources to support new and on-going  programs
  • identify grant opportunities and prepare and submit grant proposals
  • work on programs and partnerships with the schools, municipal departments, and other non- profit organizations
Experience:  Duties require knowledge equivalent to completion of a four year degree program and two to three years of relevant experience in grant writing, program development, excellent skills in communications, public relations, event planning and interpersonal skills.
  
Salary: beginning salary is $46,334.51 for full-time.  This position will start at 28 hours a week with  excellent benefits.

Environmental Engineer, Town of Natick Board of Health

The Town of Natick Board of Health seeks a highly responsible and experienced professional for the position of Environmental Engineer.  Responsibilities include professional engineering, inspections, plan review and administrative work in the office and field relating to environmental health and sanitation.  Interesting scope of duties ranging from review of subdivision plans and drainage calculations to enforcement of the State Sanitary Code.  Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering; Mass. Approved Soil Evaluator or ability to acquire within two years of hire a must as well as 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience with emphasis on civil and sanitary engineering, soil testing and design of septic systems, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, Registered Sanitarian or Registered Professional Engineer a plus.

Public Safety Dispatcher - Town of Natick
The Natick Police Department has immediate openings for several permanent part-time public safety dispatchers in the 9-1-1 Communications Center. Part-time dispatchers perform all duties of full-time dispatcher on a part-time basis and work approximately two (8-hour) shifts per week not to exceed 1040 hours per year.  This is a non-benefits eligible position.

Duties include answering all 911 and business telephone lines for police and fire departments and dispatching police, fire and EMS units to incidents. Dispatchers also deal with the public coming into the police building. Successful applicants must have superior communication and customer service skills, the ability to organize tasks according to established priority guidelines and to work under sometimes stressful conditions. Prior dispatching experience or knowledge of IMC Public Safety software considered a plus. Candidates must achieve a passing grade on the Perfex Dispatcher Performance Exam and complete a Personal History Questionnaire before hire.  Candidates must be willing to commit to continuous training at start to become proficient in all duties and responsibilities and are subject to criminal records check. This position works nights, weekends and holidays. Starting salary is $17.17 per hour.

School Crossing Guard

The Natick Police Department is seeking responsible applicants for the position of School Crossing Guard on both full-time and part-time (back up) basis.   

Applicants must be available to work Monday-Friday starting between 7:15 and 9:00 am and between 1:55 and 3:30 pm, depending on the post assignment.  Back up Guards must be willing to be on-call to fill in for scheduled (e.g., vacation day) and unscheduled (e.g., sick day) leave time for the regularly-scheduled School Crossing Guard.  Compensation is $18.98 per shift covered or $37.95 if a full day (2 shifts) is worked.  Safety equipment will be provided to individuals filling these vacancies.
