COMPTROLLER

The Town of Natick is accepting applications for the above opportunity. This position reports directly to the Town Administrator and is responsible for  preparing financial statements, maintaining cash controls, managing the payroll, accounts payable ,and overseeing the day to day department operation in accordance with UMAS, GASB, and GAAP accounting principles.

The candidate we seek must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/ or Business Administration, as well as, seven to ten years of progressive municipal experience with a minimum of three years supervisory experience.

In addition, he/she will have experience with MUNIS computer operations, preparing quarterly reports, and total audit accountability.

This position has a salary range of $70,000. to $105,000. depending upon experience, as well as, a comprehensive benefit package.

Staff Accountant

The Town of Natick is seeking a highly qualified full time Staff Accountant. This position will serve as a key member of the Town’s financial team and be responsible for maintaining accounting records in accordance with UMAS, GASB, and GAAP accounting principles. He/she will be responsible for financial analysis, overseeing the Town’s expenditures through the warrant process, performance of other duties, as assigned by the Comptroller; including budget preparation.

The candidate we seek will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and five to seven years of experience preferably in a municipal environment. In addition, he/she will preferably have experience in MUNIS computer operations, as well as, experience in preparing for annual audits. Salary is competitive depending upon experience. BUILDING INSPECTOR

The Town of Natick is accepting applications for the above full time opportunity in its Community Development Department. The person we seek will assist in the review of plans and inspection of both new buildings, as well as, alterations to existing structures to ensure compliance with all governing codes and bylaws. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of five years experience in building construction, and / or design. He/she must have general knowledge of the accepted requirements for building construction, site preparation, fire prevention, lighting, ventilation, safe egress, and equipment and materials. He/ she will be required to furnish proof of certification from the State, as well as, possess a valid Massachusetts’s Class D driver’s license. In addition, said candidate must be computer literate inclusive of electronic permitting experience , as well as , knowledge of Chapter 143 of the M.G.L (State Building Code) and of Chapter 40A of the M.G.L. (Zoning Enabling Act). In addition, the candidate we seek must be a self starter and have exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Maintenance Mechanic IV (Licensed Plumber)
Facilities Maintenance Manager
Position requirements:

General knowledge of building construction and working knowledge of building maintenance required. Skill, education and Massachusetts journeyman’s license in plumbing & gas fitting required.

This position performs maintenance and repair tasks on municipal and school buildings and properties. This work requires skills including carpentry, painting, and hardware installation.  May fill in for custodians and food service driver when need arises. Assists in the movement of furniture, equipment or machinery and snow removal as required.

Plumbing maintenance and repairs includes all piping, fixtures, equipment, controls and associated hardware. These piping systems may transport water, waste, gases and hot liquids.
This position will perform maintenance work on heating and ventilating systems.

2011 Dispatcher Job Description
NATICK POLICE DEPARTMENT – PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER
FULL TIME and PART-TIME Positions Available

Applications are now being accepted for Full Time and Part Time positions as public safety dispatchers. Duties include but are not limited to; receiving emergency and non emergency phone calls and dispatching appropriate response for Police-Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

Duties also include clerical, support services and numerous other related tasks. Excellent customer service and communications skills, both written and oral are of extreme importance. In addition, basic computer knowledge good typing skills and the ability to work under stressful conditions are required. Shifts cycles include Midnight-8am, 8am-4pm and 4pm to Midnight. Hourly rate starts at $18.57 in FY 2011.

Experienced candidates are preferred but new applicants will be considered for complete training.
