The following is an update of the Oak Street Roadway and Drainage Improvements Project:
Oak Street South (South of Route 9):
* Drainage Improvements have been completed.
* Oak Street between Bacon Street and Route 9 was milled and a leveling course of asphalt was installed.
* Granite Curbing is presently being installed. The Contractor has started on the Bacon Street side and will be working their way towards Route 9 (on both sides of the street)
* Once curbing is installed, the Contractor will be working on replacing the sidewalks.
Oak Street North (North of Route 9):
* Drainage improvement work has begun on the northern side of Oak Street. The Contractor will be completing all the drainage work on the north side of Oak Street this year but will not be doing any improvements to the roadway until next year's construction season.
