    March 19, 2018, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Natick Community Senior Ctr

ALL RISE! THE MARSHALL COURT- a 2 part talk by historian Gary Hylander Monday, March 19, and Thursday, April 26, at 2:00 pm. Free John Marshall is arguably the most important judicial figure in American legal history. In later years, John Adams wrote that his nomination of Marshall to the Court was the “proudest act” of his life. As the fourth Chief Justice, Marshall moved the court to the very center of constitutional government. He viewed the Constitution as both a legal and political document and affirmed that “it is….the provence and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is.” Marshall is honored today not because he decided cases, but because he got them right. Register by calling 508-647-6540.
