PRESS RELEASE

Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project has ended its residential spraying program due to night time temperatures which lower mosquito activity and reduce the effectiveness of the pesticide.

Natick’s risk of mosquito-borne illness remains low at this time. Please be aware that mosquito-borne viruses are in some areas. Please exercise caution when outside by using repellents and wearing long sleeved shirts and long pants whenever possible.

CMMCP will continue to monitor mosquitoes throughout the month, possibly into October. Risk from mosquito-borne disease will be present until we have several hard killing frosts.

For additional information you may call the CMMPC office at (508) 393-3055 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or you can log on to our website any time at www.cmmcp.org
