The meeting was called to order by the Chairman John Ciccariello at 7:00 p.m.
PRESENT: John Ciccariello, Joshua Ostroff, Carol A. Gloff, John Connolly. Absent: Kristine Van Amsterdam
ALSO PRESENT: Martha L. White, Town Administrator
FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH – WEST VIRGINIA WORK CAMP: REQUEST PERMIT
The West Virginia Work Camp requested a permit to sell hamburgers, hot dogs, etc in front of the First Congregational Church on East Central Street on Monday, April 20, 2009 during the running of the Boston Marathon.
A motion was made by Mr. Connolly, seconded by Mr. Ostroff, to approve the request for permit subject to approval by the Board of Health. Unanimously voted.
GIRL SCOUT TROOP 72419: REQUEST PERMIT
The Board was in receipt of a request from Girl Scout Troop 72419 for a permit to set up a booth during the Boston Marathon on April 20 to sell Girl Scout cookies. Their preferred locations were either the intersection of Route 27 and 135 or the Library green.
Ms. Gloff moved approval. Mr. Connolly seconded with the request that either Ms. White or the Board’s secretary Donna Challis find a suitable location. Unanimously voted.
TOWN MEETING RESOLUTION: LIGHTING AT MCDONALD’S ON MASS TURNPIKE
Mr. Ostroff advised the Board of a resolution he hoped Town Meeting would adopt regarding the lighting issue at the McDonald’s on the Turnpike.
Mr. Ciccariello asked that Mr. Ostroff not present the resolution at tonight’s Town Meeting but to bring it up under Selectmen’s Concerns.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Mr. Ostroff, seconded by Ms. Gloff, the Board unanimously voted to adjourn at 7:10 p.m.
