Lake Cochituate Path

Lake Cochituate Path is a planned multi-use path that will connect neighborhoods in West Natick with the Cochituate Rail Trail and other destinations to the east of Lake Cochituate. The path would extend from Hartford Street Extension east of Speen Street, along the south side of Route 9, past the Springvale Water Treatment Plant, connecting with the CRT near its crossing at Route 9.

Lake Cochituate Path is a MassDOT project. 25% Design was submitted by the engineering firm HNTB in May 2021. Construction using federal and state funding is currently scheduled to begin in 2025; this timetable is subject to change. A public hearing for the design is anticipated in the fall of 2023.

During the summer of 2023, a hybrid informational meeting was held for direct abutters to the project, who received a notice from the Town of Natick Community and Economic Development department
