The Water and Sewer rates for Fiscal Year 2024 were set at a Public Rate Hearing before the Natick Select Board on May 17, 2023.
What has changed?
Starting on July 1, 2023, all rates will increase by 4% compared to FY23. Furthermore, the rate tier grouping is now based on blocks of 8 units replacing blocks of 10 units used in prior years. That is to say, rate tier 1 is now 0-8 units, rate tier 2 is 9-16 units, rate tier 3 is 17-32, and rate tier four is 33 and up.
Billing is done in units, one unit is 100 cu ft, which is 748 gallons. The rates are calculated per unit. Therefore, the first 8 units are multiplied by tier 1, units 9-16 on tier 2, and so on.
