Project: Charles River Dam and Park Improvements

The Town of Natick is working on two separate, but related projects in and along the Charles River in South Natick:

  1. Dam removal and river restoration (led by the Department of Public Works), and
  2. Riverfront park improvements (led by the Recreation & Parks Department).

Both projects are expected to take multiple years and will require review and permits from a variety of state and federal organizations. While the projects are on different timelines (with dam removal happening before park improvements), they are being coordinated to create efficiencies in design, permitting and construction.
