The Department of Public Works will resume the scheduling of curbside bulky waste collection beginning August 3, 2020. The program was suspended March 23, 2020 due to resource limitations brought by the COVID-19 Pandemic and the necessary focus on the continuity of core services.
The Department will begin taking requests for curbside bulky waste collection on August 3rd, with the first collection day anticipated August 10th. In general, if an item will not fit in a blue pay-as-you-throw bag it is considered bulky waste. Collections of bulky items are scheduled by appointment for curbside pick-up on Mondays. The Department must receive requests and payment for bulk collections by the Thursday preceding the Monday collection. Resources limit the number of bulk collections the Department may routinely complete on a given Monday. Therefore, requests will be scheduled on a first-come-first serve basis. Collection appointments may be scheduled several weeks out due to the anticipated backlog.
Additional details on the Program may be found on the Town’s website at: https://www.natickma.gov/292/Bulk-Trash-Pickup
If a resident’s bulky collection is urgent or they need scheduling flexibility, please know that a number of local waste hauling companies offer residential collection of bulk waste items at a reasonable fee.
